2010 Cancervive Peleton departs for Austin, Texas
On October 5th, 2010 at 9am, the 6th annual peleton from Calgary, Alberta departed to meet 10 days later at a LiveStrong event. This year’s location is Austin, Texas and the peleton will cycle 24 hours a day to get there. 32 riders, 24 volunteers, 1 ASP medical unit, 4 team vans and 3 volunteer vehicles are part of this amazing convoy to Texas.
This is ASP’s 3rd year as a major sponsor of this event and also the 3rd year that senior company management has participated in the journey. Steve Lilly, ASP President, is riding again and Eoghan Moriarty, the Operations Manager, will be the official mediagrapher. Nicole Wagermans, one of our EMT-As is volunteering her medical services in support of the riders.
We arrive in Austin, Texas on October 22nd. Everyone’s cancer warriors, the Challenge Riders and all of our families are flying down to meet us that afternoon. Everyone will participate in the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s LiveStrong Challenge Austin festivities.
